Just curious. Thanks.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8972173459050825613.post-19315996819766540352013-08-26T12:04:30.032-07:002013-08-26T12:04:30.032-07:00Hi Claudia. I'm sorry that this recipe did not...Hi Claudia. I'm sorry that this recipe did not turn out for you. I'm assuming you're talking about the creme brulee mixture here. This creme brulee recipe is very similar to a custard sauce. I've made custard on a stovetop multiple times in the past and have had issues with it until I finally figured out what I was doing wrong. I didn't use the exact ingredients as the recipe requested, and especially for the ones that didn't include cornstarch. For example, instead of (whole) milk, I tried fat-free milk and oh boy was that a mistake. The mixture never thickened, the eggs curdled and it was a terrible mess. One thing I can suggest is adding cornstarch to your mix. A tablespoon should help thicken it up. Let me know if you've tried this again and how that turned out or if you've found other ways to improvise and make it work.

Thank you so much for stopping by and trying the recipe. I'm really sorry it didn't work out. I hope it doesn't discourage you from making this recipe again (or any other ones on here) because it is really a great one.mzricheehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07529971909389085961noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8972173459050825613.post-5839165099751982042013-08-23T17:11:07.021-07:002013-08-23T17:11:07.021-07:00So,I tried this to take to a party tonight... and ...So,I tried this to take to a party tonight... and the mixture has not thickened.... like at all :( I ended up taking it off the flame and straining it, then sticking it in the fridge, hoping that THEN it will thicken.. any suggestions? You can even make it GF too with a flour substitute.mzricheehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07529971909389085961noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8972173459050825613.post-87812843353986776772013-02-16T00:47:56.121-08:002013-02-16T00:47:56.121-08:00I'm going to start working on a dairy free ver...I'm going to start working on a dairy free version asap! these look amazing!
Daniellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05006733822699154694noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8972173459050825613.post-43355982208002949142013-02-14T17:04:54.638-08:002013-02-14T17:04:54.638-08:00Yes!
